Information

Pendleton is a small traditional farming village nestled at the foot of Pendle Hill. Pendleton Brook runs through the centre of the village surrounded by stone cottages, farm buildings and the local, award winning real ale pub,The Swan with Two Necks. Other village amenities include the Village Hall, which hosts various classes and events and can be hired for private occasions, and All Saints Church.

Village services:

Bin collection

The general / non-recyclable (Burgundy) bin is collected on Thursday every week.

The recyclable waste (blue) bin is collected on the same day as your general waste on alternate weeks with the garden (green) waste bin.

What goes in my bins?

Blue Bin - Glass jars and bottles, food and drinks cans, aerosols, plastic bottles (milk, mineral water, fizzy drinks, shampoo, household cleaners etc.), aluminium foil.

Green Bin - Grass and hedge cuttings, leaves and prunings, weeds and flowers, Christmas trees, straw and sawdust.

Burgundy Bin - Any material that cannot be recycled, general waste, all food and kitchen waste

White Sack - All clean paper, newspapers, magazines, brochures, telephone directories including yellow pages; junk mail (without plastic covers), grey and brown cardboard including greeting cards, envelopes (please remove plastic windows)
